I originally bought this as a gift, but decided to keep it. I still haven't had an occasion to play the game yet, but I look forward to it.
Cassandra M.
We really enjoyed the open ended game playing that changes every time we play. It's fun that it allows for creativity in a way that is always "right".
Jennifer M.
We haven't even explored all the ways to play but several groups of family and friends have played this and all liked it. It is different every time.
Tina S.
I’m a preschool teacher and I’m always looking for ways to expand children’s thinking and understanding of the world around them. As well as build vocabulary and conversation skills. OUISI has been a fun way to build skills. The more children play the more connections they make.
Marla B.
We love it so much! I keep it at our home to play with the Grands - ages 3-24 years old. Quite a span but there is an adaptation for any age.
Unique and they always ask to play❤️
Helene D.
So enjoyed playing OuiSi with our grandchildren. Each family has their own game and so do I.
It is wonderful to have a game that is not competitive, asks you to look and then look some more and forces you to use your imagination.
The quality of the dissected photographs and the subject matter of the photographs allows you to think up many possibilities and make connections whether it is objects found in nature, food, cityscapes, elements of design or nature scenes. One can play, learn and practice visual learning skills! Great game for both young and old!
Tamara W.
Grandkids loved it. Very different.
Charlotte A.
We had so much fun making up the "rules" and changing them as we went along. There were 3 generations of us playing.
JANET B.
I bought this game to play with my 80yr old brother who has Alzheimers.
He is quite impaired at this point but he found the pictures very engaging. With help he gradually started sorting them by color. He doesn't eat much anymore but he always loved food and the pictures of food caught his interest. All on his own he started picking out and making a pile of the food pictures!
We've been doing this for awhile now (several months) and he enjoys Ouisi 4-5 times a week.
He has started seeing some of the pictures that relate by pattern. He has many days where his attention span isn't that great but your game has definitely added interest and engagement to his life. His 6yr old granddaughter likes to help him with it when she comes to visit. Thank you for the beautiful pictures and a wonderful way to connect with my dear brother. Jan Brittan
John and S.
The family loved it! Mom, Dad, and five year old. The Dad doesn’t like board games - but he enjoyed Ouisi!
Nicole E.
Brain challenge for everyone to enjoy.
Gena M.
My 9 yr old grandson grew bored very quickly. The object to the cards is to simply match any detail you see with a similar detail? And then what? Make a pattern with the matching cards? Which would require a large area.
Played once. Spent too much for this experiment. ( didn't open the nature box, perhaps I can return?)
Lindsy M.
We had so much fun playing this game! There’s many ways to play and my children that are 9 and 7 had fun making stories with their tiles. We were laughing at how silly and fun their ideas were and how creative we all had to be to make the connections. It was great! Grandma loved it and loves to play with her kids and grandkids.
Amelia F.
I think it’s wonderful enough that O gifted the game to all my family and some dear friends at the holidays! I even took a copy to the staff gift exchange at work.
Maria H.
We found OuiSi interesting in that in the name of participation and creativity, we didn't play hardball with the connections. We felt this fostered imagination and graciousness. We love it, thank you.
Martha L.
Played our first game today. Kids didn’t want to stop even though it was ‘Taco Tuesday’ dinner time.
Samantha F.
OuiSi is a beautiful, fun and creative game to play. My 5 and 7 year olds love it and it’s so interesting to see how they interpret the different images and the similarities they find. I think it’s perfect for kids and adults alike.
Linda W.
Actually purchased both games, Nature and Original. Gave the Original to my 4 1/2 year old grand daughter at Christmas and we had a great time playing different creative games. Put the Nature version away for the future. Highly recommend!
Jill K.
This was a gift to someone in my family. They said they liked it. I have not played it.
Nan H.
I enthusiastically purchased the game for my family to play during the Christmas holidays when I would have many people, of all ages, here. It was taken out several times but never attracted much attention, even when I tried to stir up the excitement. It is now sitting in the cabinet, having never really been played with.
We will keep bringing it out when the grandkids come and hope, as they get older, there may be some interest.
Greg W.
I purchased OuiSi for my two grandchildren aged six and three at the time. They love them. It's amazing watching them interact with them. Sometimes they play by some of the recommended rules provided by you. More often than not, they make up their own rules. When they can't figure out what the images are, they allow their imaginations to run wild.
The greatest thing is when three generations are playing together. I can't tell who is having the most fun.
virginia A.
Had fun playing with my husband who doesn’t like “playing games”. But he enjoyed this clever, non-taxing version of game playing! G. August
Julie K.
gave 2 as gifts and kept 1 for myself. it was a hit at a recent family event, with a lot of curious minds asking "what is this game?" great for stimulating conversation while playing at the same time.
JO A.
Like this one better than the original, really like how you can find out what the card is using your phone. Like the original, I'm finding it hard to get anyone to play with me.
Patricia B.
First time playing the game was a HOOT. 3 yo and 3adults
Child wanted to WIN!, BUT she is learning from the game! !
Janet B.
Once I forgot about the directions my grandkids loved them. (8,7and 4) Just using associative seeing was fun.
Another grand child….(5) …we had fun calling out our associations snd silly sayings about what the cards made us think of. We did it as round robin everyone going on the same board. We were all laughing hysterically ! So funny I can’t remember them. The funny thing is, the parents were so skeptical at the start but we all enjoyed it!
Shawn C.
Its beautiful and has a lot of variations of how to play it. I love the idea of us all being more aware of the shapes and designs around us
Nancy K.
Purchased as a gift
Kirsten T.
I am using this game for activities with my students in elementary and middle school speech-language sessions, for categorizing and describing items by characteristics.
Linda H.
I purchased it as a Christmas present and we played it only once before the receiver of the gift left for home. We tried playing it with 3 adults, a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old (on my lap). It was rather chaotic... we made it fun, but I think it might have been better with a different mix of players.
Lynn B.
Got game for elderly mom but it was difficult for her . Instructions for so many possible games but from my experience, to overwhelming for elderly people with any dementia.
Hillary H.
Had so much fun playing this with my four year old, we used all the cards and can't wait to play again and find more matches!
Shelley D.
I bought this game for my seven year old grandchild and her family. We all enjoyed playing together and especially liked the different ways of play.
Sandra T.
For Christmas, I purchased 4 of your wonderful "games". The product is much more than that. The product was for our 3 adult children and their significant others. First of all, the visuals are absolutely gorgeous. My first response was from our eldest daughter. They had played it and loved it....2 adults, no kids. She commented that it provided different games in one box. They challenged each other by creating different "rules" to play. Our daughter works with youth who have learning disabilities and she was able to use the photos with them. As she commented..."it was amazing to see the correlations that these young people would find.
You have also provided a wonderful pastime for the older seniors who enjoy looking at the pictures. Looking forward to your next projects.........Thank you......Sandi Tundel
Tami M.
My son and I have enjoyed looking at the pictures and finding connections between them in different ways.
Kathryn W.
My daughter and I play this as a picture dominoes kind of game. It's really cool to see all the ways you can try to match the pictures with each other. Does it have the same shape, color, item, etc.? You have to get really creative at times. It's a beautiful game!
Paula H.
I bought this for my son and his family for Christmas. We played while I was there and it was amazing how the concept caused my grandchildren to think out side of the box. Iwould recommend this game.
Kristin T.
I love this game! My sister-in-law taught it to me and my kids love getting creative with the cards. I love that it is stress-free and can be adjusted to the capabilities of the people playing. I’ve used it with my nieces (ages 4-6), my children (ages 7-10), and the high school girls in my youth group and they have all loved it!!
G Jason S.
Beautiful imagery in both sets.
Good brain challenges for us old timers and their grandkids!
Jason K.
Fun game but it is almost overwhelming with so many different ways to plan and trying to teach kids.
wendy l.
Finally got my family to do something together
Cynthia F.
Loads of fun! Makes you think!!
Pamela F.
I’ve only played with this game once. It was great, since I played it with my grandkids, and we all liked it.
Kathy M.
Well, to be honest, I gave one of these games to each of my 6 children's families for Christmas and don't know if they've had a chance to play yet. I bought them because a very dear friend of mine told me how much she and her family loves theirs. I hope to get to play Ouisi soon!
Virginia S.
I really have not had much of a chance to use. I got for my daughter to use with her clients. The photos are too “busy” and confusing to use with her Altzheimer’s clients.
Miriam C.
I just thought it seemed a little too sweet. Vintage Cola and Vintage Root Beer.
Karen M C.
It is very interesting and fun!
Amanda B.
Beautiful images and nice quality. Love this open ended game and the conversations it starts for my family
Tami B.
Beautiful, well-crafted, quality game for all ages
ELIZABETH Y.
Played it on New Year's Eve with some gals. None of us were super impressed but we did find it interesting to see how the interpretations of the pictures differed. Fun in a low key way.
M M F.
So sorry for the delay - I’ve only been able to play once. It was a “get familiar” session that was fun for all three of us; we look forward to another game, soon…perhaps with the Nature set. Age range: 78-56, 2 females, 1 male.
Jill N.
Used these with my 8th grade students to tell a story, they were so engaged! The images are astounding!
Brian Luke S.
I love this game.. It is great for family interaction, great for creativity, and great for family and friends bonding.. Congrats.. % Stars!
Natasha T.
I originally bought it because I grew up playing board games and card games and our family loves them! We've passed down this love of games to our kids. My sister recently had a stroke and has 3 kids. Reading and concentrating are hard for her so the regular games we usually play together are too difficult for her. Also, she has aphasia, so one of the things she has to practice is word recall. Playing the OuiSi games means that she can practice her word recall, and make connections all while playing games with her kids and not needing to read. We've enjoyed that there are so many different ways to play and LOVE the beautiful photos! Thanks for creating it!
Leila M.
It’s not something that we’d play often.
Andrea R.
Wasn’t as fun as I originally thought it would be. If you have a family that is big into technicalities(like mine) this is not the game for you. There is a lot of room for debate about what matches what doesn’t and in my family there was a lot of fighting over who was right because they had differing opinions on “matches”. Let’s just say that it was not a game that brought my family together. Fun but a little to much wiggle room for my liking.
Nola F.
You are writing because of order number 2. I just ordered again today because I needed an 18th one. I paid full price this time. We did enjoy playing.
Heather M.
We love this game and have gifted it to others who also love it. Great group game for all ages, generations, and speakers of different languages.
Hallie F.
I love these cards! There are so many ways to play! It stimulates curiosity and develops connections in our world! I am playing it with my granddaughter and my father! Interesting and creative! Love it! Thank you!
Virginia H.
Really drawn to the pictures but playing with them in a group was kinda eh. Maybe it's my friends.
Amanda B.
I love games that can be played and engage a wide age range. This game does that - great for family time.
Jean V.
Shared it at a family gathering where there were differences of what cards matched
Jennifer A.
There are several ways to play, and a great game for a variety of ages to play together.
Meredith E.
we had a great time playing this as a family (adult "children" and parents); we followed some of the game prompts and made up some variations on our own! Beautiful imagery, ordering as a breeze and looking to expand our collection of cards. Well done, Ouisi team!
Stephanie H.
Love this game. The photo are beautiful. We play with our 5 year old granddaughter. So run to have her explain why the photos match.
Carol P.
Open ended game that challenges players both visually and intellectually.
Endless options for play for all ages.
DEBORAH K.
My grandkids love it.
Brandi B.
We have two young kids, and limited time to connect as a couple. I love that OuiSi can be enjoyed for exactly the amount of time we have. This game was amazing while visiting family too. We played one way with just us, another way with our toddler, and yet another way with our siblings. There are still so many other ways to play that we have yet to explore! The pictures are all so gorgeous. I almost wish the original deck had QR codes to identify the images the way the nature deck does, but maybe the ambiguity makes it more interesting to discuss.
Vanessa R.
Love the beauty of the design, feel of the cards, and overall fun fun fun time!
Amy M.
We love this game - which is really more like a visual experience - Great for all ages. Beautiful construction and stunning images. Thank you for creating this treasure.
Rose K.
I already reviewed this
Pamela B.
We love this game! Well, I should say....games! We have grandchildren ranging in age from 20 to 3. With all of the ideas you include in your instructions we were able to play different games with different age groups and then just one big game of shapes and colors and include the little ones. It brought everyone together....there was laughter.....conversation....and best of all precious time together. Thank you so much!
Ann H.
my 4y/o grandson is getting the hang of it and it definitely holds his attention for longer periods than many other games.
Nicole M R.
Being open-ended and without an obvious winner, my son got interested in playing board games and following rules.
Corinne S.
I gave Ouisi to a recently-widowed relative who lives in Europe in a long-term care facility. I hoped she would enjoy her Ouisi cards with people who is getting to know there, and because it is not language-specific and has beautiful photos, I hoped it would provide conversations, games and interactions. The cards are easy to pick up too. I understand that Ouisi was very well-received, and she enjoys it with her family, her grandchildren, and her fellow residents. I know that my family here in the US enjoy it so I was reasonably sure it would be a good holiday gift for our relative who lives far away, and so it was!
Karen T.
You can’t have enough photo options! I played with family members several times and I’m already wanting more images to mix up the connections. I want to play this with some kids yet too and see how they connect the images!
Martha S.
I gave several games away for Christmas and was only able to play once and loved it. I played with a three year old, who was fascinated by the similarities and different objects. The adults in another setting were reluctant to play, but then we enjoyed it for all the conversation it sparked. I will write again once my experience has increased. I am currently abroad and away from the game. Your art history one looks magnificent!
Cindy C.
Wonderful product!
Patricia C.
My grandson has taken his set of the original game back home to Terre Haute, so I'm not privy to how it's being used. His parents liked it a lot, especially that it has so many options. I gave another copy to my granddaughter, and I've not heard back yet about whether she liked it. I bought the new version because I enjoyed playing with my grandson, and I'm intrigued by the Getty Museum images.
Anne W.
Purchased for my aging mother. She is enjoying the game.
Amy S.
I loved the game and wanted to gift it to cousins but they already had it, so I gave it to a friend for her grandson. I love the visuals.
Tricia W.
My family of teens and young adults has really enjoyed the game!
PATRICIA V.
It was harder for kids then I expected. I like it but had to help 10 year olds to understand.
Gayle F.
Enjoyed this game with two friends recently. We loved the creative interactions that were the results of the cards. Lots of laughter and a lot of amazement at where the photos took us.
Delilah P.
After a long day at work I love to explore the cards. They help me to get out of my work mind and back into creative flow mind.
Cindy C.
My daughter and nephew played this game right after opening it on Christmas Day, and they love it! We played it with our 7 and 4 year old grandkids last week, and they loved it! Great game to connect family members and have fun together! Thank you for making this great family game!
Carrie Z.
I love these cards, and all the beautiful potential that they bring into my art classroom for students to look closely. I have used them specifically for kids to find examples of Art Elements and Principles of Design. Besides that we’ve used them for the pleasure and joy of looking at gorgeous visual imagery and finding connections between different pictures.
Julie N.
I purchased this game after seeing it on fb. I am a retired teacher and a doting grandmother. My oldest grandchild is 4 and we have begun playing the game twice. She is intrigued by the pictures and enjoys making trains of connecting images and explaining the connections! I think we will continue to enjoy this as well as new ways to play ouisi!
Kimberly C.
Such a beautiful, relaxing, non-competitive game. I’ve enjoyed playing it with a group as well as alone. I like that there are suggestions about how to play but it’s also easy to make up your own way. It’s super fun to see how others interpret the cards and make connections. Love it! Makes are great gift too.
Michele W.
Wonderful game for the whole family!
Cheryn A.
Our grandkids absolutely love Ouisi for it's "no rules" game play. Also, for it's versatility in play style. With this game, everyone is able to participate at the same level and all walk away with a great experience (no winners or losers, age doesn't restrict how well you do at the game, etc.). The only drawback that I can see is that maybe after many plays, the cards begin to be too familiar. Replenishing with new cards is likely the key to keeping this game fresh. This game is still new to us, it is so far our families favorite!
Tiffany F.
My grandchildren have played with these cards for HOURS on end, coming up with their own games and playing the ones in the instructions. My kids were rolling their eyes when they saw the boxes of cards at first, and then they really got into it, too. I think they were stoked that the kids were having fun, animated, expressing opinions, and engrossed in the visuals and in making connections. Love this!!
Alex F.
It was a gift to our son's family including 3 boys aged 8 to 14. Parents and kids all love it.
Cheri C.
I haven't used the games. I gave them as gifts to my grown kids. The recipients were *delighted* with the beautiful photography, both my "city kid" and my "country kid." I very much liked having two versions of the game available.
Cynthia L.
We love that this game is easy to play for a group of people with very different ways of thinking. Folks who are not neuro-typical often make connections other folks will not, but everyone is right when you play Ouisi! My family has very different ways of seeing the world, so it was fun to hear each persons explanations for their choices. Great for all ages.
Susan N.
Bought it for great nieces and nephews - ages 3-8. They love it.
Valerie S.
My husband has early onset Alzheimer's dementia. Ouisi has been a great way to work both his right and left brain. We added a few parameters to the game, for example: being able to play any card so long as you can make up a story including as many surrounding cards as you can. We hosted Christmas, and I let everyone know about the game in advance. As a group, we worked with a single card and kept a group point system with points for matching color, texture, shape or context and double points for every card used in a story. Every time we reached 10 points as a group, we got a reward, i.e. beverages, appetizers, dinner, dessert, stockings, presents. My husband was anxious about having people over due to his condition, but he jumped right in with the game and had a great evening. I purchased OiuSi for Christmas presents for my great nieces and nephews, and got an extra one to have on hand. At the end of the evening, everyone had to draw straws because they wanted my extra! The pictures are beautiful and lend themselves to matching on so many levels that everyone can play. They are a good quality and hold up to use.
Sandra S.
We enjoyed playing this game with our family!
It brought up interesting discussions about how each of us make visual associations and how we "see" the world. Very engaging!
Irene D.
I gave it to a friend who played with her grandchildren, ages 8 and 12. They all enjoyed it.
Doni B.
The photos are awesome. We played it like dominoes, there are so many ways to have a match - very fast and interesting game. The cards are a bit awkward to hold - especially for kids.
