I tried to explain this game to my husband and do a practice round of matching the cards. He is too concrete of a thinker and thought the whole thing made no sense. I am looking forward to playing a game with my daughters when they visit over the holidays. I like the idea of it, but haven't played it yet, which is why I haven't reviewed it.
Ida G.
Haven't played enough times toggle a fair review!
Signe V.
I'm an elementary school teacher. I love playing games with the Getty Museum version with my students. It's a great way to get them talking about shape, line, color, texture, and composition. I love the QR codes on the back of each card as well.
Julie G.
Game exceeded my expectations! So many ways to play and fun for our multi-generational home. Only thing I regret is not buying this sooner!
BA W.
I have all three OuiSi and have played with friends, but my students loved them most. The two latest versions with the QR code have been very popular, allowing one to look up the full photo and information about the item. An excellent game for all ages who can play together or solo! Worth the investment.
Susan
Absolutely beautiful!
Margaret B.
As you can see from the photos, OuiSi inspired me to start making my own cards. I love just fiddling around with them.
Karen R.
I got all three sets. I was a little disappointed at first by the Art set because the color palate seemed to be so drab, mostly orange/brown and gray. I wished there had been more cards with vibrant colors. But when I mixed it in with the other two sets I really liked the result. I'm also still a bit disappointed that the Nature set won't lie flat. The cards are all slightly warped. But I'm hoping that will get better with time.
The way I play is something I call Neverending Collage. I wrote up a description on Boardgamegeek: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3171142/ouisi-neverending-collage
Kristin R.
My three year old and I play this game at least three times a week. It is fun for both of us and I love that it helps him develop his creative thinking skills and verbalize why he chooses a tile. It’s fun to hear his thoughts on the textures, colors and shapes in the tiles. This is a great game!
Brooke/Greg P.
I bought two OuiSi sets for the young children of my daughter's sister-in-law in another state. The mom said the children enjoyed looking through the beautiful photos on the cards the first day they received them and then playing a game of dominoes with them on the weekend.
Kim L.
I bought this game as a Christmas gift for my family and am excited to play it with them.
Elise T.
I like how Ouisi can be an open ended game with many solutions and no losers.
Karen T.
I’m an artist so I especially love seeing images on your cards of Getty Museum artworks, esp cropped, which makes them even more intriguing!
Rebecca S.
I haven't opened my new boxes of OUISI yet, but the reason I purchased them was because my 3 year old granddaughter LOVES to sit with me and sort them by color, squeal when there is a big bug one, move them around, and will sit with me for an hour or more. It's incredible!
Laura T.
We love it! You can be so creative and adapt games for all ages and moments. We bought more copies to give as gifts
Heidi J.
I decided to get this for a game to play in my art class on sub days or short class periods. Broke it open with my music specialist colleague and we had a great time playing ourselves and found many ways to use it in class. I look forward to trying it with my kids soon!!
Brenda T.
very cool very beautiful finding lots of use for them
Kristan B.
I love the variety of art on all levels, Era, style, medium. And I love the QR code so we can look up the piece, see the entire thing and learn more about it!
Stephanie T.
As a gifted intervention specialist I am always looking for tools that can help grow creative brains. OuiSi is definitely going on my “highly recommended” list! Listening to them find countless connections I hadn’t even considered was the highlight of my day. This game a lovely springboard to so many conversations about the benefits of creative thinking!
DONNA .
I use Ouisi in my classroom. I have three games now. Sometimes it's for inside recess. Sometimes it's to deepen thinking and begin a conversation about connections.
Tia P.
Using the cards in my classroom for What Do You See writing labs! Love them!
Wendy W.
I love Ouisi in all its forms. The decks are beautiful and sturdy. There are SO MANY ways to use them to inspire creative thought. We've started mixing the different decks together as well to expand the potential connections between items. These games never get boring. I'll definitely get any future decks as well.
Marti M.
Got this for my nephew’s visit while we stayed at a cabin. I plan to try using it for generating some creative ideas for my artwork.
Denise C.
Beautiful images to enhance learning & creative thought in my art classroom. I can’t wait to explore all the ways I can play with these with my students!
Shelley S.
I played Ouisi for the first time with a relative who has a stroke and finds it difficult to deal with word games. She enjoyed playing the domino game, matching related colors and patterns. I look forward to trying the other suggestions for use.
Janet H.
My 85 yr old mom enjoyed the simple act of making a connection between different cards ...they're colors shapes etc.
Kari E.
I have used OuiSi in several Professional Developments with school principals. It is a flexible tool that allows participants to make meaningful connections. I will continue to think about new and interesting ways to use the cards.
Leeann L.
Have been wanting more images to add to my Pick a Picture collection (https://pickapicture.org) and was delighted that I was able to include all of the 210 pictures in this Ouisi Getty Museum set in my collection. Not all images work well for the Pick a Picture activity, so I was very happy about this.
Caitlyn N.
We love the pictures and are exploring all of the ways to play.
Tamara H.
I’m a teacher and I use ouisi in my classroom to spark creativity and storytelling
Francine G.
Your photos of art and nature and images around us are beautifully arranged in simple squares. Today I enjoy relaxed meditative matchings like a solo solitare card game. We are planning a family game for 5 and are enjoying how to work in points and judging. What a refreshing game event for all ages without the use of computers. A throw back to the days of “card” games. We love your ouisi game.
Carman A.
Great, easy fun family game!
Jamie M.
Beautiful photos of all types of imaginative, colorful scenes, art, and nature - so many unique items! The cards are a great weight and feel comfortable in your hand, too. You can play all sorts of games: dominoes, matching, I spy, sorting, opposites attract, this goes with that because, this is my favorite because, let’s make up a story, etc - the variety of ideas for play is endless. No reading or complicated rules required so it’s great for all ages, and is a fun way to get everyone in the family laughing, playing, and sometimes even talking together!
Christy L.
We own all three versions. We have so much fun playing. It always sparks lively conversation over why certain cards go together. It has become a family favorite. Lots of laughter and togetherness. It is perfect for incorporating every member of the family no matter the age.
Yuli H.
Great activity for my staff.
Julie K.
love this game! i have the original version and love it so much that I came back to purchase the other two versions. I brought this to work and have played it during lunch and coffee breaks with co-workers who were new to the agency. it's a good ice breaker and opens up communication. great for making connections. this resulted in putting in another order with 4 co-workers wanting to purchase the game. my friends 7 yr old daughter loves the game and plays it by herself whenever she can't find people to play with her. great game. great as a gift. perfect for all ages!
Constance M.
Have ordered several times for gifts. I am keeping this one for myself!
Chris M.
I love the connections you can make, it's always something new!
Ann M.
My mother in law has dementia and is very forgetful, and is not involved in many activities any more. But, she loves art from The Getty. We have been using the OuiSi cards in video chats. She chooses which of 2 cards she likes and we look at the picture on the back of the card and read the description of the card. It is fun for us both.
Donna M.
I have purchased all 3 versions and love them!
Terri D.
I love my Original Ouisi! And who wouldn't want it with ART!
Sandra R.
Purchased this for my folks, as they love the Getty Museum. My father has Parkinson’s and we were all able to engage in playing - he did great “matching” the shapes, textures or colors! Really clever!
Valerie M.
The photography in the Getty set is great, just like the nature and original sets. But the images are more literal and less abstract -- I really like the abstract images. Still, this set is beautiful and would probably stimulate lively conversations among art history lovers.
Shawn M.
We now have all three Ouisi sets and enjoy them all. We recently got the Getty Museum set and found it to be the same high quality materials and photos as the other two sets. I tend to be a literal and linear thinker and these sets challenge me to think more creatively.
Robert G.
Great multi-generational game, with great flexibility to mold the 'rules' to the participants. I have played with siblings, kids/cousins and grandkids, with as much enjoyment at each level.
Marcia H.
The images, plus origins are much more accessible than the original deck- we think!
Sydney W.
My mom turned me and my 7 year old son onto this. We absolutely love it! Gets both of our imaginations going! The QR codes are a super cool feature. 10/10 would recommend!
John James H.
Hi,
I presented your game at the American Camp Association Tri-State Camp Conference in Atlantic City on March 16 as part of my session "Creative Activities That Foster a Culture of Inclusion." I presented it as an icebreaker. The cards help you to learn new ways to make connections with people, and once engaged, conversations can continue to see what 3 additional things the "connectors" have in common. Everyone seemed to be pleased with the many uses. I am going to pitch the game to various counselors at our camp: using the cards to generate choreography for our dance program, to generate stories for our film program, for mindfulness (to help campers and counselors with anxiety), to our art counselors to generate Art, and who knows what other one uses we may discover. I plan on filming and photographing your game in action and sharing what we came up with! x John James Hickey (JJ)

We love Oisi. The Getty version is our second one. We've been playing Ouisinoes with it regularly, and we love being able to see the source image on the back of the card and find more information on the Getty site. Ousi Original, perhaps because it was our first one, is still my favorite - the delightful variety and mystery of the images is unparalleled
Kathy V.
We have three different OuiSi decks, the Getty's the latest purchase. We regularly mix the cards and play a story telling games as each person gets an opportunity to add a card to another already played and continue creating a story. It is great fun and encourages use of imagination.
Natalie P.
We like the artwork and finding the details. This game is so relaxing and my teen enjoys playing it with me.
Roxanne S.
Exceptional photography
Shauna R.
Love using this in my classroom!!
Terri K.
The students enjoy this as much as the other Quisi games. They love that you put the complete photo on the back so they can see the picture in context. Last week, my youngest (8) one on one student chose that as his game of choice. In one session we just explored the photos and tried to figure out what we were looking at. Then we started sorting them out. He was discovering some interesting categories. He had made a recent trip to California and apparently visited an art museum, so he loves to see the photos. Thanks again for putting your hearts and souls into these games. They are amazing!
Terri from Florida

The art is great

The OuiSi: Getty edition arrived in perfect condition. I have to admit that I was slightly disappointed with the images. It seems a majority of the images are rather neutral in color and tone, and very subtle. I prefer the bright colors of the first two editions. However, the educational aspect of the Getty edition, I’m sure, will make up for the lack of as much vivid colors of sets 1 and 2.
Not disappointed that I made the purchase. It will be interesting to see how the 3 editions work (or play) together.
Suki D.
The whole family loved the original OuiSi and OuiSi x Getty is perfect for all ages. Toddler thru grandparents love it.
Gay W.
As an artist this is my favorite thing to gift others. I bought all the sets for myself, and have given quite a number to friends and family. To date, my favorite is the Nature set.
I hope you keep building on your success. I would like to see one with portions of paintings, and another one with body parts.
elsa c.
OuiSi x Getty is the second OuiSi game I’ve bought and it’s fabulous!
The photos are striking and colorful and there are so many ways to play this game. I like to just look through the cards, too.
Donna L.
We have the other version and played it frequently with our granddaughter during the pandemic. I love that you can use it with almost any population. I've recommended it to my daughter-in-law who works with an adult intellectually limited agency and to our nearby assisted living community. We've used the new edition on family game nights and enjoyed it.
Brandon D.
The perfect mindfulness activity for families.
Louise B.
My 4-year-old grandchild loves these cards. We play a simple match game where we put one card beside another and ask, “why?” Then we talk about color, shape, and other factors in the pictures. The codes on the back help us figure out what’s represented when we get curious. OuiSi inspires discernment, art appreciation, discussion skills and is just plain fun.
Frances W.
I polled the children, ages 8 and 12, and asked them what they liked about the game. They liked the additional information available with the QR codes but didn't like that the backs of the cards didn't have the same design. The 12 year old liked their original OuiSi best because nobody knew what cards she was holding. I was so surprised and overjoyed to learn that she and her brother had gotten the original set as a Christmas gift and already knew how to play.
Her almost 9 year old brother was delighted that he had discovered the full images on the backs of the cards. As we played, both siblings explained their card choices so I followed suit and explained mine, too.
Oddly enough, I had difficulty making connections, even with the wide variety of images. To me, there were overarching themes in the first two sets. With the Getty Images set, the many varieties of art forms (paintings, sculptures, artifacts) threw me at first. Once I settled in and played solo games after the kids left, I was able to see more connections and find my groove, a slightly different groove from the other sets. The connections seemed more subtle and required more exploration and imagination to find.
In full disclosure, my mind has been preoccupied and working overtime to redesign my first large scale painting (38" x 48') sketch into 6 equally sized paintings that would each contain interesting focal elements to produce 6 stand alone paintings people would like to bid on for the first fundraiser for our first Makers space. But, bonus! Even though I was challenged playing OuiSi, I had more and better ideas to edit my sketch. I've been a photographer for 50 years and a painter for three years. The imposter syndrome is strong in this one. Ha, ha, ha!
In conclusion, the Getty Images set is another winner. Once again the cards are sturdy and the images are beautifully printed. I like to see the big picture and found the complete images on the backs of the cards helpful in providing context and closure.
Thank you for continuing to expand connections across the world.
Sincerely,
Fran Willis

Fun games and beautiful photos!
Judy S.
Not gonna lie - I actually dont use these to play a game. I am an artist - so I have been using them for art inspirations - the layouts and or colors are fantastic! and I have THREE SETS
Anne J.
Ouisi is well made and easy to use for family and friends who want to find visual connections.
Mary B.
I got the first two OuiSi games as a Christmas present and loved them so much I got myself the museum edition when that came out. Our family plays our own version of the game where each player has 12 cards and we choose from those cards to match a card in the center. Once you play your card you take another card from the pile so you always have 12. Sometimes it's a stretch to find a match and other players will help each other out and sometimes it's super easy. I also enjoy using the images as drawing prompts in my sketch book.
Ann B.
All three generations of us love every version of this game, including the latest, with Getty Museum photos. It is great to have the full image on the back of each card along with a qr code for more info about the art. Great exposure to fine art and creative thinking make this an enjoyable family game.
CATHY H.
I noticed the original Ouisi set in a post on social media. I am a quilter and felt that the images I saw could be used for color story and texture explorations. I put the set on my Christmas list and my artist daughter listened. She also gave me the Nature set and I just purchased the Getty set.
I shared them with my other quilting friends and they found the cards very interesting.
I love that there are QR codes for the Nature and Getty sets so I can learn more about the images.
Thank you for wonderful inspiration!
CONSTANCE B.
I have yet to play games with these cards - they are beautiful images and I can think of quite a number of explorations I could use these for! They are a great addition to my two other Ouisi sets.
Lynne O.
I am an art teacher, these cards are an amazing way to demonstrate the elements of art and to inspire young artists!
deborah b.
I've bought each set of ouisi for my family members who enjoy it very much. The game has many options and the photos are spectacular.
Debora E.
We own all three versions and my children and grandchildren (ages 6, 8, 11) love to just play the basic game and talk about the images, colors, patterns, and connections we see. It's amazing how often we want to scan the barcodes to learn more about a particular card.
Dontie K.
I love the glimpses at art through this set of Ouisi! As always, quality product and excellent service. My favorite feature is the QR code on each card that you can find out the whole piece of art and more about it. We spend as much time looking at those as playing a game.
Elaine B.
Used with my honors creativity class on numerous occasions to kickstart conversations and inspire action.
Hollis W.
I have given the sets I have purchased as gifts. Have not used them myself.
Susan W.
This deck is as beautiful as the others! The three sets together make for fascinating conversations and lovely arrays.
Judy R.
I have all three sets of OuiSi. My family enjoyed the original version and OuiSi Nature over the holidays. It was fun to find connections and to use the Q codes to get more information about some of the images. I’m really looking forward to playing the Getty Museum set, but I’m I’m saving it for our next family get-together.
Michele
Best nonlinear game ever!!! Fantastic way of teaching relationships, patterns, and creative thinking!!!! Recommend highly from ages 3-103.
donna k.
We enjoyed our first game very much and look forward to more
Vickie K.
My granddaughter and great granddaughter have only been together one time to play. It was a short game, but we all did really enjoy it. My great granddaughter has played the game I got for son and his family a couple of times and was excited to learn I had gotten the game, but a bit different. I think we will be trying to set up game days at least once a month.
Jacquie H.
Love the variety of pictures and the links to the corresponding information.
Michele W.
Got the original and nature versions for our granddaughters (6yo and 9yo) for Christmas. A big hit! 6 loves the games and enjoys explaining her reasoning for grouping cards together. We now have the Getty Museum version, too. Looking forward to playing with them soon.
Elisabeth H.
I am the proud owner of all 3 of the beautiful OuiSi Sets!!! Each one of the gorgeously photographed & so much fun to play!!! Thank You OuiSi~ I look forward to future sets to add to my collection!!!!
Heather R.
I have all the versions of OuiSi. It is a wonderful creative game.
Lynn H.
Beautiful images! Highly recommend.
Christine M.
I own all 3 versions and I love them. The newest one, Getty edition, is such a great introduction to art and now that I don't live in CA anymore, it is also a great revisit to a museum I visited multiple times.
Mirna S.
I love the photos, i just hoped to connect with more ideas and a community that works with them. It would be helpful to see youtube videos on the many ways they get used. So the product is beautiful. just need more guidance and inspiration to use it with elementsry school kids
Karen V.
Actually have not yet “played” it.
I love the notion though!
And the quality of the cards! Love it!
Purchased several as gifts!
Marcia R.
Waiting to try it w/my grandchildren. Haven't been to visit them yet.
Marjorie S.
It’s brilliant! I’m a career professional artist and a grandmother of a 9 and 6 year old. I’m not a tech person, but I personally loved the access to the paintings in the museum. I think you have to identify your audience. My grandkids would lose interest quickly at their age, but maybe focus on intelligent “elders” who are craving the interaction and the access to a docent at a great museum. I purchased your first? product and the kids enjoyed and engaged with it, which I loved. Unfortunately, they lost interest-not because of your product, but because unfortunately they are acclimated to more internet interaction- or sports. I love what you’re doing, maybe include focusing on seniors who still crave cultural opportunities and exposure to the arts that could be an elevated addition to card games.
I’m still working every day, so I may not be the best resource, but I really love what you’re doing. Congratulations on making our beautiful world more accessible and connected- literally. Bravo!!! Marjorie
darlene b.
Love the many different ways tonuse

My second purchase. Really great product. Looking forward to playing with my grandson in the future.
JANIS S.
Pleasing shapes. Stimulating colors. Entertaining game choices.
Thank you!
Mary G.
I’m a retired art teacher and love photography. I’m just a playful amateur myself, but when I got the OuiSi Nature and then the Getty Museum Ouisi sets, I can’t tell you how much I love looking at the gorgeous photos! I enjoy playing all kinds of solitaire with them or inviting friends and family over for lively, imaginative games. The ability to scan the codes and get educated on each interesting piece is priceless! ❤️
Erin O.
I have several more to share of my students. I will email them to you all.
